Anthony Daniels To Auction Over 160 Star Wars Props And Memorabilia
ENTHUSIASTS SET TO BID ON MASSIVE STAR WARS AND C-3PO COLLECTION
Do you have any Galactic Credits lying around? You might need to raid your Star Wars piggy banks, as veteran actor Anthony Daniels is auctioning off his personal collection of genuine props and collectibles from the Original Trilogy.
The most exciting props include an original C-3PO head worn by the actor in Star Wars: A New Hope (estimated to go for up to £1,000,000) and an original third-draft script from the 1977 movie (estimated up to £20,000). The auction also includes non-Star Wars memorabilia that the actor has managed to collect over the years. Each purchase also comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Anthony Daniels has managed to amass quite a museum’s worth of movie treasures over the years and looks set to earn a fortune from the sale – not a bad pension haul for such a hard-working protocol droid!

What Are the Highlights of the Star Wars Auction?
Once you get past the most popular lots mentioned above, there are plenty of interesting curios and oddities hidden in the catalogue. Check out a few of our favourites below!
Lot #356: THE STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL (TV SPECIAL, 1978) – Anthony Daniels Collection: Anthony Daniels’ Hand-annotated Original Fourth-draft Script in a Personalised Binder and Promotional Mylar Flyers
Estimate: £2,000 - £4,000
The Star Wars Holiday Special was one of the strangest additions to the galaxy far, far away. George Lucas famously commented that he would destroy every single copy of the budget TV special if he had the power, and the show makes for harrowing viewing today, with outdated guest stars, slow pacing, and outright weird additions to the lore. That said, it did introduce viewers to Chewbacca’s family and featured Boba Fett in animated form. Star Wars fans love to discuss the show, and this script would be a fascinating talking point for any fan’s collection.
Lot #776: STAR WARS: VARIOUS PRODUCTIONS - Anthony Daniels Collection: Pre-Built and Boxed R2-D2 Lego Models
Estimate: £300 – £600
Did you know that Anthony Daniels famously disliked his on-screen co-star, Kenny Baker, who portrayed R2-D2? That didn't stop him from keeping this pre-built LEGO set, however.
Lot #782: STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS (2015) - Anthony Daniels Collection: Autographed Lego C-3PO Dark Red Arm Minifigure Display
This autographed Lego C-3PO dark red arm minifigure display was released in 2015 to coincide with the release of J.J. Abrams Star Wars film The Force Awakens and would make a wonderful gift for any LEGO fan who also loves C-3PO.
Lot #710: STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980) – Anthony Daniels Collection: Photograph of Anthony Daniels and Peter Mayhew Without Masks
Estimate: £200 - £400
Not all the lots need to break the bank, and you may be able to pick up some gems for less than £1,000 each. Take this charming photo above, which shows Anthony Daniels and Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew in full costume, minus their character heads!
Lot #757: STAR WARS TOYS - Anthony Daniels Collection: Vintage C-3PO Palitoy Figure
Estimate: £1,000 - £2,000
Original, vintage, boxed Star Wars toys can fetch a small fortune at the best of times, but one coming from Anthony Daniel’s personal collection feels even more special.
Lot #729: STAR WARS: ORIGINAL TRILOGY (1977 - 1983) - Anthony Daniels Collection: Handwritten Christmas Card Signed by Marcia Lucas
Estimate: £600 - £1,200
With Christmas on the horizon, we think this comedic card showing Yoda delivering gifts ala' Santa Claus would make a beautiful addition to any room, displayed behind a high-quality frame.
