Fast X Super Bowl Trailer Airs

DID YOU CATCH THE 30-SECOND FAST & FURIOUS TV SPOT?

Fast X Super Bowl Trailer

Fans of the tire-screeching super-charged film franchise The Fast & The Furious have been given a new 30-second trailer to feast their eyes on for the upcoming series instalment Fast X – and it only cost Universal Pictures (roughly) $7 million to screen!

That’s because the new trailer spot featured during the internationally-watched American Super Bowl LVII on Sunday 12th, February at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The sports event is well-known for its glitzy half-time entertainment show (which this year featured Rihanna). However, the short 30-second trailer spots have proved to be equally anticipated over the years, with previews for beloved franchises such as Star Wars and Marvel debuting for the first time at the event. In addition, the Super Bowl is usually watched by an audience of over 100 million people, making it a coveted opportunity for advertisers.

You can still catch the Fast X Official Super Bowl Trailer on YouTube even if you missed the live event.

Fast X is intended to be the penultimate film in the series, with the 11th instalment set to conclude Vin Diesel’s vehicular saga in the not-too-distant future. As the new trailer states, “The end of the road begins 19th May”.

The plot will focus on wrapping up the Fast saga, with new allies and newcomers joining Dominic Toretto’s “la familia” to face off against Jason Momoa’s new villain, Dante. While the new motorbike-riding bagboy’s origins and reasons for seeking revenge on Dom were unclear for some time, the Universal film website recently revealed that Dante is the son of drug kingpin Hernan Reyes, who was foiled in 2011’s Fast Five.

In addition to previously seen footage from the recent Fast X Main Trailer, the new TV spot primarily reveals more shots of the climactic bridge sequence, which will conclude the film.
