FIRST STOP LOOKING AT THE LATEST MARIO SETS RELEASING 1ST AUGUST 2024

LEGO Super Mario Bowser Train Release

August may seem a way off right now but with a hop, step and a power up, we’ll be there before we know it. Let’s run on and open these question mark blocks to see what LEGO have to offer us on 1st August 2024.

Bowser Express Train 71437

ALL ABOARD THE LATEST LEGO TRAIN

First up we have the awesome LEGO 71437 The Bowser Express Train ($119.99) comprising of 1,392 pieces designed for ages 9 and up. This is a great addition to the ever-growing LEGO interactive Mario range and will look very cool on display too. As well as the fantastically detailed train this set also includes two stations, a handcar, a superstar block and the iconic question mark block. To inhabit the train and stations we get two Goombas, a Hammer Bro, two Parabiddybuds and a BoomBoom. You can incorporate your interactive LEGO Mario, Luigi and Peach (not included) with this set if you so wish and have fun trying to catch the bad guys. There are several features that the characters can activate to aid in their pursuit including a sprung loaded cannon and a spinning platform on the train. Once victory has been accomplished you can activate horn sounds as you fly through the stations. It is also possible to use any of the previously released LEGO Mario Character Packs with this set.

LEGO Super Mario King Boo’s Haunted Mansion 71436

BOO! MADE YOU LOOK

Next on the radar is LEGO 71436 King Boo’s Haunted Mansion ($74.99) with 932 pieces and advised for ages 8 and up. What ghostly goings on are about to be unleashed in this set? It would seem that King Boo has a key hidden somewhere in his mansion and it's up to you to find it so that the treasure chest can finally be opened. Don’t forget to check under the elevating sofa and in the hidden reveal part of the bookcase. Beware though, whilst the Haunted Mansion may seem quiet, Dry Bones, Boo and of course King Boo himself will be out to thwart your heroics. Yellow Baby Yoshi must summon all his courage to retrieve the key, defeat King Boo and open the treasure chest. LEGO 71436 is a fantastic playset with the option to display opened out or closed up - it's brilliant and this set would definitely not look out of place next to the 10273 LEGO Haunted House or LEGO 10228 Monster Fighters Haunted House. The LEGO Mario interactive characters (not included) can also be used in conjunction with this model as can any of the LEGO Mario Character Packs figures.

INTRODUCING ROY

The third LEGO Mario set releasing 1st August 2024 is LEGO 71435 Battle with Roy At Peach’s Castle ($64.99) and is recommended for ages 7 and up. For the first time in LEGO is Roy, one of the seven Koopalings and this guy is definitely more brawn than brain. Help Toad protect Peach’s Castle by hiding on the rotating throne and then launching an attack with the catapult. Run through the collapsible walls and hope to squash Chain Chomp with the bricks, find hidden Action tags and maybe manage to play the piano. Once the castle has been saved from the brute that is Roy, take a stroll around the garden and enjoy the fountain view. LEGO 71435 is another great playset with amazing functions and can be displayed opened out or closed to create a complete castle. The LEGO Interactive Mario, Luigi and Peach (not included) can be utilised with this set in order to help defeat Roy and his evil ways.
