WHICH OF THE LEGO AVENGERS TOWER MODELS IS THE BEST?

Comparing All the LEGO Avengers Tower Sets

The Avengers Tower is an iconic NYC skyscraper that is prominently featured in the Marvel Comics and MCU movies. Initially known as Stark Tower, it soon became the de-facto headquarters of the Avengers superhero team, serving as a base of operations and a state-of-the-art advanced technology facility.

The towering building symbolises Earth’s mightiest heroes and the legendary location has been reproduced in brick-built form four times. But which version of the LEGO model is the best?

The smallest of the towers was released as a GWP add-on product in 2019. This cute microscale set included a Tony Stark/Iron Man minifigure and a small Quinjet plane to attach to the roof. Beyond that, this is a simple, minimalist model constructed from a few stud elements. It does make a stylish ornament to display on the desk of any Avengers super-fan, though other sets include greatly enhanced details and added interiors.

Attack on Avengers Tower 76038

Attack on Avengers Tower 76038

March 2015 saw the release of the action-packed Attack on Avengers Tower set, which included Thor and Iron Man as they battled against a surprise attack from Ultron Mark 1 and two Iron Legion accomplices. This retired model included interior rooms such as JARVIS control, a sick bay, and a ground-floor robot bay. It also introduced a landing pad for the Quinjet.

This version of the tower did feel a bit short relative to its width for us as if it was missing a few extra floors.

2020’s Avengers tower improved on the previous design with a more prominent ‘A’ logo and additional floors to give the tower a slimmer, defined profile. The 5-floor battle tower included seven rooms comprising the energy core, jail, Black Widow’s Sky Cycle garage, the Arc reactor, the armoury, a tech lab and two balconies.

Minifigures included Iron Man (with a choice of silver hexagon, tazer, or blazer armour), Black Widow, Red Skull, and several AIM agents. The tower is the ideal space-saving option while retaining the details and features you expect to see on the building.

Avengers Tower 76269

This year’s Avengers Tower threatens to blow all previous incarnations out of the water with its sheer detail and scope, though such an epic model does come with a high price tag and requires ample space to showcase it properly.

The 5,201-piece tower stands over 90cm tall, and the interiors include all the cutting-edge laboratories, living quarters, training areas, and communication systems featured in the Avengers’ operations hub. A Leviathan, Quinjet and two Chitauri chariots are also included. The Chitauri, in particular, include some innovative elements to allow their serpentine bodies to move.

LEGO Minifigures

Special mention has to go to the all-star cast of LEGO Minifigures included with the latest Avengers Tower set. The stand-out character is the huge, green Hulk, but we also appreciated Loki in his crown and the number of soldiers and tower units included to bulk out the display scene potential.

iDisplayit’s Avengers Tower Display Case for LEGO 76269 will be released soon for this model, so sign up to be notified when it becomes available.

Which LEGO Avengers Tower Is The Best?

Which LEGO Avengers Tower Is The Best?

It’s hard to argue with the impressive quality and size of the Avengers Tower 76269. However, the Avengers Tower Battle 76166 still holds its own if you are looking for a more practical option in terms of size and affordability.

For us, it all boils down to how much interior space and money you are willing to sacrifice. For true Marvel obsessives, 2023’s Avengers Tower is a one-of-a-kind super-sized LEGO building which remains one of the most exciting releases of the year, and it is hard to argue with its superiority compared to smaller versions.
