How to Display LEGO Minifigures While Keeping Them Safe
Creative Display Ideas and Ways To Keep Your Minifigures Protected

They're tiny, highly collectible and often very valuable - the rarest limited-edition LEGO Minifigures can be worth tens of thousands of pounds, and Comic-Con exclusives often reach over £1,000 within a few years of release.
LEGO Star Wars Minifigures are top of that list, with the Solid Gold 14K C-3PO from 2007 valued anywhere between $50,000 and $200,000, depending on who you ask.
It's not all about precious metals though, as the LEGO Ninjago Movie Wooden Wu Movie Prop Minifigure from 2017 is second on that list, at an estimated $100,000 in value.
Whether your LEGO Minifigures are made of wood, gold or good old plastic, your collection has its own value. So it's only natural to want to keep it protected from dust, damage and loss.
What are the best ways to display LEGO Minifigures?
With that in mind, what are the BEST ways to display LEGO Minifigures, no matter how many you want to put on show?
How to display single LEGO Minifigures
There are lots of reasons to display single LEGO Minifigures. The figure might have sentimental value for you, or it might just be your favourite character. It might be rare, or worth a lot of money.
iDisplayit LEGO Single Minifigure Display Case
Truth is, you don't really need a reason to store your LEGO Minifigures individually. The iDisplayit Single Minifigure Display Case comes in clear, black, white or red, with or without studs to hold your minifigure in place.
You can stack multiple Single Minifigure Display Cases, so whether you have one minifigure or 1,000, it's the perfect way to build up a tabletop, bookcase or wall display one character at a time.
How to display groups of LEGO Minifigures
Smaller LEGO sets typically come with up to six LEGO Minifigures, and you might not want to put each one of them in their own display case. That's where the iDisplayit LEGO Minifigure Display Plates come in.
Available in packs of 5 acrylic plates each, they're great value as a way to keep 2-6 LEGO Minifigures together and upright while out on display.
iDisplayit LEGO Minifigure Display Plates
Each LEGO Minifigures base plate contains studs to hold 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 figures firmly in place. iDisplayit even supplies a variety pack with one plate of each size, to (literally) cover all the bases.
These are stands, rather than enclosed display cases - usually with smaller sets of LEGO Minifigures, you'll want to display them alongside the vehicle or building they came with, so it looks better to keep the Minifigures out in the open.
How to display sets of LEGO Minifigures
Larger LEGO sets can easily come with 10-12 Minifigures, or even more - LEGO 70620 Ninjago City would fill a 16 LEGO Minifigures Display Case single-handedly!
When you're up into double digits, it's a good idea to keep your LEGO Minifigures together in an enclosed display case. It keeps the dust off (ain't nobody got time to dust 10+ Minifigures individually) and if they happen to get jostled, you know everyone will stay together.
iDisplayit LEGO Minifigure 12, 16, and 18 Display Cases
iDisplayit has LEGO Minifigures Display Cases that can accommodate groups of 12, 16 or 18 figures, and again they're stackable, so you can display each set in its own case, as part of a larger overall collection.
Each minifigure has its own 1x2 studs to hold them in place, and these fit the vast majority of LEGO Minifigures, including the black display plates from mystery bag/box-style collections.
How to display a LEGO Minifigure collection
Only a handful of LEGO sets come with 20 or more minifigures in the box, so if you're looking for ways to show off that many figures, it's likely that you're trying to figure out how to display a LEGO Minifigure collection in its entirety.
iDisplayit LEGO Minifigure Army Display Case
Army Display Cases
One option is a LEGO Minifigure Army Display Case, which is the perfect size to take a 32x32 base plate of any colour you choose. Just pop your minifigures onto the base plate, along with any other scenery and accessories you want to display alongside them, up to a height of 10cm.
This is a really versatile way to show off groups of Minifigures, as you can stand them in different locations inside the case. Depending on how tightly packed you position them, you should be able to fit 8 figures per row, and 10-11 rows before your case is full.
iDisplayit LEGO Minifigure Desktop Display Case
Desktop Display Cases
LEGO Minifigures Desktop Display Cases are made for collections of up to 40, 60, 80 or 100 Minifigures (if you have an odd number to display, you can just leave a few gaps between groups, or cover the spare studs with smooth 1x2 tile pieces).
Desktop display cases come with tiered 'stadium seating' so you can see the minifigures on the back rows when looking in from the front of the case.
With easy access via the removable lid, these display cases keep the dust off but still allow you to reach in and remove your minifigures when you want to hold them, look at them or play with them.
iDisplayit LEGO Minifigure Wall-Mounted Display Case
Wall Display Cases
When surface space is at a premium, LEGO Minifigures Wall Display Cases are the way to go, as they project only about 6cm from the wall and give you shelves for 40, 60, 80 or 100 Minifigures.
Each case has four shelves, with studs to display 10, 15, 20 or 25 Minifigures per row, and there is ENDLESS fun to be had just deciding who will go where in your display!
The whole case is enclosed with a front panel for maximum protection against dust, but again the panel is easily removed when you want access, or if you prefer open-fronted displays.
How to choose
As you can see, a good starting point is to decide how many LEGO Minifigures you want to have in your display, and whether you want to keep any room to add to your collection in the future.
For smaller sets (e.g. 1-6 Minifigures supplied with smaller LEGO builds) you're probably best with a Single Minifigure Display Case or LEGO Minifigure Acrylic Display Plates.
If you're combining sets, or you're lucky enough to have bagged one of the big LEGO builds with 10+ Minifigures, you'll want to start looking towards one of the LEGO Minifigures Display Cases.
And for entire collections, it's a question of where you'll be putting your display:
- Tabletop with 360-degree viewing: LEGO Minifigure Army Display Case
- Desktop with front-only viewing: LEGO Minifigures Desktop Display Case
- Wall-mounted to save space: LEGO Minifigures Wall Display Case
iDisplayit display solutions are all made from high-quality 3mm acrylic, with the correct 1x2 studs for most LEGO Minifigures (not two single studs like many rival products use, which can distort the minifigure over time).
Supplied flat-packed directly from their warehouse, with worldwide delivery and easy-to-follow assembly instructions, never again will you need to worry about losing, damaging or dusting your pride and joy!
