LEGO Reveal – Icons Kingfisher Bird 10331
MAJESTIC KINGFISHER LEGO HOME INTERIOR MODEL FOR ADULTS UNVEILED
The Kingfisher is a regal bird found throughout Africa, Asia, Oceania, and sometimes within Europe, keeping watch over deep forests, calm ponds and rivers as they hunt fish and molluscs. LEGO Icons Kingfisher Bird 10331 – Features
Before the reveal, it was expected that the new Kingfisher 10331 brick statuette would be part of the LEGO Fauna Collection, which kicked off the subtheme with the Macaw Parrots 31211 art set. However, the LEGO listing does not reference the subtheme on the product page, indicating it has either been scrapped or is being retained separately under the LEGO Art umbrella.
The Kingfisher bird-building set offers an immersive project for older LEGO fans and bird lovers, with a model designed for elegance, adding a touch of nature and mindfulness to any interior. Intricate brick pieces add detail to the bird, and we are particularly impressed with the animal’s feather plumage on the wings, along with the sharp beak (which carries a freshly caught fish). The orange underbelly and lighter blue back add some vivid colour variance.
Collectors can alter the bird’s head and claws on this model to create a unique pose, although the movement options are understandably limited, with the bird remaining in its primary position on the base. On the subject of the base, this is one of the best additions to the set, providing a pretty, natural waterfront with elegant water effects and several tall reed plants to complete the scene.
We expect the new Kingfisher Icons set to prove popular with older LEGO fans who want to create an elegant display evoking the natural world. Thanks to its base, the model can easily be exhibited on a window shelf, counter or any similar surface.
