LEGO Icons Natural History Museum 10326 – Features

This masterpiece of modular design invites guests to ‘go back in time’ and ‘explore the future’, as per the hanging prints draped over the building’s second-floor exterior, which also show fun images of the planets and a dinosaur.

As with all modular building sets, the outside of the Natural History Museum 10326 is one of the main visual draws, with the stunning, porticoed entrance, cherry blossom tree and several statues of famous LEGO figures standing to greet guests. This stylish model will sit neatly as part of any modular city scene, with a decorated street level and plenty of room for minifigures.

The roof is built in a traditional architectural style, with the raised central section housing the curator’s office (visible when the door is opened). Two skylights also allow light to enter the building and illuminate the atrium and exhibition rooms within.

The museum’s ground floor houses one of the stand-out elements of the set – the skeleton of a brachiosaurus dinosaur, towering through an atrium up to the second floor. This is one of the model’s highlights, adding some authenticity to the replica museum and evoking strong childhood memories for any AFOL who visited a dinosaur exhibition as a child. There are also plenty of other, smaller natural history exhibits on show.

The 4,014-piece model includes room for a detailed second floor, which houses the space and travel exhibits. The tiny rocket and planetary flight map in the central room are charming additions, while the maritime room on the right contains a treasure trove of curios, including model ships and an anchor.

The sheer detail and sense of magic in this set makes it one of the most anticipated modular sets of the year for us, and we’re looking forward to adding it to our collection. Don’t forget to pre-order the set today over at LEGO Online.
