A HERBACEOUS HOBBY
Italian architect Valentina Bima created the original LEGO Idea for LEGO 21353, the Botanical Garden. You can check out her original idea on the LEGO Ideas website. Valentina wanted to create a space where the residents of LEGO City could relax and enjoy nature at any time of the year while also learning about fauna from all around the world.
The grand Victorian-style greenhouse was inspired by several cast-iron greenhouses Valentina has visited throughout her travels. The building is comprised of three atriums, all of which have removable roofs. A new corner wall element was designed to allow all three of the roofs to be detachable.
The main atrium houses a gorgeous spiral staircase that leads to an observation deck, where visitors can get a closer look at the two large exotic trees growing there.
The smaller atriums house an arid garden and a café. The café is rather special as it provides a habitat for a coffee plant. This café must be able to provide the freshest coffee.
LEGO 21353 Ideas The Botanical Garden has over thirty-five species of plants and trees growing collectively inside and outside it. These include:
- Anthurium
- Bird of Paradise
- Cactus
- Date Palm
- Eucalyptus Tree
- Ice Cream Tulip
- Japanese Maple
- Peonies
- Pitcher Plant
- Purple Hydrangea
Two brand new flower elements were designed and created for LEGO 21353 to enable the creation of this vast array of floral joy.
There are many accessories included with The Botanical Garden, some of which are:
- Gardening equipment
- Headphones for guided tours
- Scissors
- Camera
- Binoculars
Insiders will be able to claim the 5009005 Botanical Gardens Gate LEGO gift with purchase from November 1st until November 7th while stocks last. This adorable, vibrant GWP features a LEGO Gardener Minifigure trending to the various fauna adorning the entrance. There is also a butterfly and a blue bird enjoying their natural surroundings. This will look great outside LEGO 21353 The Botanical Garden or anywhere in your LEGO City display.
LEGO 21353 The Botanical Garden has been designed to be displayed alongside roads or other LEGO modular sets.
