The Best LEGO Café/Restaurant Sets
ADD SOME CULINARY COLOUR TO YOUR LEGO CITY LANDSCAPES
We all love a good bite to eat, and LEGO Minifigures are no different. So, if you’re thinking of building a huge, sprawling LEGO metropolis complete with buildings, locations, scenery, vehicles and characters, don’t forget to invest in a few eateries to add some life to your mock cityscape. Perfect for both adult collectors and young builders alike, these establishments will infuse life into any LEGO cityscape with bustling social hubs, cosy dining areas, and detailed interiors.
There are plenty of LEGO café and restaurant sets to choose, from high-end establishments to small snack stops. Join us as we pick out a few of our favourite sets from recent years…
Parisian Restaurant – 10243
This elegant eatery, ‘Chez Albert’, has a distinctly French flair to it, with a beautiful alfresco dining exterior complete with hanging lanterns and flowers. The building façade above also lends this set a high amount of value when incorporated into a LEGO Modular street diorama. The minifigure cast also includes a chef and waiter, excellent additions to any eating establishment.
This set is now retired, so you’ll have to hunt for it one resale sites like eBay and BrickLink. This product remains fairly affordable, however.
Downtown Noodle Shop – 31131
This funky addition can actually be built in three ways (including a bike shop or gaming arcade). For this blog, we’re looking at the third option, the LEGO Creator 3in1 Downtown Noodle Shop. The building is packed with accessories, including a vending machine and ice cream vending bike. The exteriors also display a stylish noodle pot logo.
Modular Sweet Surprises – 31077
This cosy LEGO cake shop is the perfect addition to any brick-built city or town, with a colourful façade and tasty cakes visible through the large bay window. The LEGO Creator 3in1 31077 Modular Sweet Surprises set also includes a vending stand, parasol, gumball machine and ATM for minifigures to grab some cash. The model can also be rebuilt as a Food Corner Café, but we like the cake shop best, especially with the prominent themed sign and quaint rooftop terrace.
Grab this retired set on eBay or Bricklink.
Assembly Square – 10255
This large section of a busy street includes a dentist’s office, a ballet studio, a florist shop and other high street businesses. Nevertheless, a substantial part of the set is food-based, including a bakery with a smart pretzel logo and a stylish café. This model was made to celebrate 10 years of LEGO Modular Buildings, and it certainly has enough detail to keep anyone engaged for hours. The outdoor café furniture neatly combines with the fountain and streetlamps to create an idyllic scene for any city build.
It is currently your last chance to buy this epic set on the LEGO store, so follow the link above to secure yours.
Heartlake City Community Kitchen – 41747
The LEGO Friends range may not match LEGO Modular Building sets, though if you or your kids have amassed a growing collection of Friends sets, then perhaps it’s time to invest in a few eateries to add the finishing touches to your Heartlake City build. The Community Kitchen is a modern foodie establishment with core community values at its heart. The set includes a pantry, refrigerator, kitchen range and even a tortilla press.
Heartlake Cupcake Café – 41119
Here’s another Cake Shop which is ideal for any Heartlake City collection. Admire the pretty cakes through the bay window and revolving cake stand, or head inside to enjoy the 1950s pink and pastel décor, with cute tables and stools. The set even includes a delivery bike!
