Top Ten Star Wars LEGO Sets You Can Buy
DISCOVER OUR TOP-RATED STAR WARS LEGO COLLECTIBLES AVAILABLE ONLINE
Picking out our top LEGO sets is never easy, and choosing 10 of the best Star Wars LEGO sets is just as hard. Since the theme’s introduction in 1999, it has become almost synonymous with the LEGO brand, and we couldn’t imagine living without the ships, dioramas, vehicles and characters we’ve seen created in brick form over the years.
Here at iDisplayit, we’ve picked out the top ten LEGO Star Wars sets you can still buy on the LEGO online store. As much as we wanted to include now-retired classics such as the UCS Y-Wing Starfighter and Imperial Star Destroyer, we’ve made sure to only pick out models available at the date of blog publication.
Prepare to jump to lightspeed on our mark…
AT-AT – 75313
$849.99
The introduction of the Imperial AT-AT – appearing from the snowy mists in 1980’s The Empire Strikes Back – was one of the most iconic entrances for a land-based vehicle in the Star Wars universe. The four-legged, walking monstrosity also happens to be one of the most iconic LEGO sets as well. This Ultimate Collector Series model doesn’t come cheap, however collectors cannot fault the attention to detail in this special set. We particularly like how much the grey LEGO studs and brick elements suit the industrialised look of the All Terrain Armored Transport.
Hoth AT-ST – 75322
$49.99
Here’s another (albeit smaller) walker from the Battle of Hoth. However, many fans might remember it most fondly from 1983’s Return of the Jedi, when the Ewoks managed to topple several All Terrain Scout Transports using rudimentary methods. The Scout Transport (also affectionately known as a Chicken Walker) makes a great addition to any LEGO collection, with the inclusion of Chewbacca, a Hoth AT-ST Pilot, a Hoth Rebel Trooper in minifigure form, and a floating Imperial Probe Droid figure.
Imperial TIE Fighter – 75300
$44.99
It’s time to talk starships. The TIE/LN starfighter is the feared starfighter built by Sienar Fleet Systems for the Imperial Navy and has been a mainstay of the Star Wars saga since 1977’s A New Hope. The LEGO set cleverly uses long, flat studded elements to create the solar array support frame “wings”, with a distinctive window piece forming the cockpit viewport. At an affordable price, this is essential for any Star Wars collection. The set also comes with a TIE Fighter Pilot and Stormtrooper Minifigure, plus a NI-L8 Protocol Droid figure.
Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Fighter – 75301
$49.99
This is the perfect action-orientated Star Wars starfighter to sit alongside your TIE-Fighter and bring balance to your force-worthy showcase. The unique S-foil wings can be exhibited open or closed, with the four turbo-engines and exhaust modules replicated using unique brick pieces. The inclusion of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, General Dodonna, and R2-D2 in minifigure form is also a fun addition to this set. If you’re going to assemble a Star Wars fleet, this should be the first fighter craft on your list.
The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter – 75325
$59.99
Fans let out a collective, nostalgic cry of joy when Din Djarin (Mando) came across a half-derelict Naboo Starfighter in the latest season of The Mandalorian on Disney+. The previously-yellow royal starfighter was one of the fastest in the galaxy and one of the better conceptual designs to come out of 1999’s The Phantom Menace. The LEGO craft features the exposed and stripped-down grey hull and fuselage from the version of the N-1 featured in the show, with the inclusion of an adorable tiny Grogu and BD Droid alongside minifigures of Din and Peli Motto, the plucky engineer who managed Hangar 3-5 at Mos Eisley spaceport.
Mos Eisley Cantina – 75290
$399.99
While we’re on the subject of Mos Eisley, this creative display toy is one of the best modular building sets available in the Star Wars range. This intelligent, 3,187-piece set is part of the Master Builder Series of complex builds designed to challenge AFOLs and younger brick engineers. There are more details and minifigures in this set than you can shake a lightsaber at, including seven previously unreleased characters – highlights include three members of the cantina band, Pondo Baba, Dr Evezan, and plenty more of the weird and dangerous personalities that frequent the Tatooine underworld hub.
Boba Fett’s Starship – 75312
$49.99
Back to starships again. Fans love The Mandalorian, but before Din Djarin came along, Boba Fett was always the original badass bounty hunter from the galaxy far, far away. Boba’s ship, Slave 1, was a modified Firespray-31-class patrol and attack craft feared throughout the galaxy and instantly recognisable due to its overbearing attack configuration. This updated model retains the ship’s green, red and grey decals, with minifigures of Boba and Din. The set also includes a carbonite brick, an essential accessory for imprisoning enemies aboard the craft.
Millennium Falcon – 75192
$849.99
You didn’t think we would do a top ten without mentioning the Millennium Falcon, did you? The set’s price is exorbitant, but the detail in this huge UCS model is stunning, with every radar dish, nut, bolt, rivet, hull armour section and vent recreated in LEGO form. We’ve yet to find a model that looks more epic on display. Those looking to save a few Republic credits should check out the smaller Millennium Falcon 75257, which makes a perfect gift for kids or AFOLS on a budget.
Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama – 75330
$89.99
Luke’s visit to the swamp planet of Dagobah in The Empire Strikes Back introduced viewers to one of the most mysterious and beloved characters in the entire saga – Jedi Master Yoda. We’re big fans of the Star Wars diorama sets, and it was hard to choose just one for this list. In the end, we settled on this scene of Yoda’s home, which packs a twisting tree, the sunken X-Wing ship and plenty of strange plants onto one display platform. Thanks to the unique Luke minifigure, you can showcase the training scene with Luke floating upside down in the air.
BD-1 – 75335
$99.99
BD-1 is the latest droid to join the Star Wars roster and should be a hit with most LEGO Star Wars fans, thanks to the popularity of the Star Wars: Jedi PC and console game series. This rust-bucket hero is armed with the usual assortment of tricks and gadgets, with a stunning array of detail, from the wiring to the antennae.
