We Have A Look At Da Vinci's Mystery Woman Mona Lisa in LEGO Form
SMILE, YOU'RE BEING PAINTED
The world’s most famous painting was originally painted with oil paints on a piece of poplar wood by Leonardo Da Vinci, sometime between 1503 and 1519 in Florence. It is believed that he worked on the painting intermittently over a period of many years, adding layers of thin oil and glazes at different times. Da Vinci’s unique style (the three-quarter pose) influenced many of the Renaissance painters at that time, including a young Raphael, who sketched Da Vinci’s work in progress and then adopted the format of the Mona Lisa for his future portraits.

FEATURES OF LEGO 31213 MONA LISA
LEGO 31213 Mona Lisa may seem to possess more of a blue hue to the background than we are used to seeing and this is to replicate the original colour palette before time took its toll. 500 years sure can age a gal! The eye tiles are printed and can be swapped out for blank ones (if you wish) to create a more abstract version of Da Vinci’s mystery woman. The Mona Lisa art is situated in a wall-mounted gold frame, which is in fact detachable, enabling other LEGO Art pieces (sold separately) to be displayed in it if you wish to switch up your gallery.
LEGO provide a QR code to be scanned while you build this masterpiece, allowing you to listen to a soundtrack that captures this lady’s timeless appeal.
