What's This? A LEGO Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween Town - EUREKA!
WE CAN LIVE LIKE JACK AND SALLY IF YOU WANT TO
“This looks like fun, this looks like fun, oh could it be I got my wish?”

BONEY BUILDS
Tim Burton is the master of stop-motion animation and The Nightmare Before Christmas is widely considered to be one of the greatest animated movies of all time. Based upon a poem that Tim Burton wrote in 1982, this 1993 release has become a cult classic.
Maybe it's just us, but it seems many seasons have passed since we first heard about the LEGO Ideas NBC set designed by Simon Scott (Tvrulesmylife). Now, we finally have it confirmed as an official release. Congratulations to Simon.

HOW MUCH IS LEGO 21351 DISNEY TIM BURTON’S THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS?
LEGO 21351 will set you back $199.99; treat yourself to a little Halloween goodness.
ARE THERE ANY LEGO MINIFIGURES INCLUDED WITH THE LEGO 21351 DISNEY NBC SET?
There are eight LEGO Minifigures included with LEGO 21351 which are:
- Jack Skellington
- Sally
- Zero
- The Mayor (brick-built with two faces)
- Santa Clause (also known as Sandy Claws)
- Lock
- Shock
- Barrel
HOW MANY PIECES DOES LEGO 21351 DISNEY TIM BURTON’S THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS HAVE?
LEGO 21351 has 2,193 spooky pieces, that’s 696 more than Jaws - we’re going to need a bigger shelf!
“THIS IS A THING CALLED A PRESENT. THE WHOLE THING STARTS WITH A BOX”
The LEGO 21351 Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas build uses 2,193 pieces to create three integral parts of Halloween Town:
- Spiral Hill with the graveyard below
- Halloween Town City Hall, including the fountain out front
- Jack Skellington’s house that contains the all-important chalkboard with Jack’s Christmas formula
The three sections are all built separately and then can connect to form the town. The fountain in front of the town hall is a lurid shade of green, just like in the movie, and the iconic countdown to next Halloween/Christmas adorns the front of the town hall.
Other notable features are the lectern in the town hall from which Jack gives his Christmas speech, Jack’s room, which has skulls, pumpkins, and other seasonal accessories, and the walking bathtub. The walking bathtub is a fantastically innovative way of kidnapping someone, and we are so pleased that it was included in this set.
While Jack and Sally LEGO minifigures have been available since May 2019 with the LEGO Disney CMF Series, the figures included in LEGO 21351 differ. The changes with Jack are as follows:
- Longer leg piece with an alternate leg print
- The torso print gives the jacket a more extended collar, and the stripes appear thicker
- Jack’s smile is thicker, and his stitches seem less obvious
Sally seems to have some minor alterations:
- Her skin tone appears to have a greener hue to it
- The left side of her dress has more giant swirls than previously, so there are fewer
- The skirt has more pink on it and differently shaped patches
- Her eyes are now blue, and her eyelashes are more defined
Whilst we think that LEGO 21351 Disney Tim Burton's NBC is an amazing set and has stayed pretty true to Simon's original idea, there are a couple of things we would have liked to have seen:
- an Oogie Boogie Figure - maybe we could get a buildable LEGO Oogie Boogie as a GWP?
- the Spiral Hill to unravel as it does in the movie when Jack walks down it (there are definitely pieces that allow this type of joint function)
- a devil mask for Lock and a skull mask for Barrel - we know masks can be made, as the LEGO Thunder Keeper from LEGO 71746 wears one.
