World’s Biggest LEGO Store to Open on 11th November
SYDNEY DETHRONES THE UK FOR THE WORLD’S LARGEST LEGO HUB
In November 2016, the world’s largest LEGO store opened at London’s Leicester Square, complete with quirky British brick-built decorations, including a life-size London underground carriage, characters like William Shakespeare, and plenty of fun activities.
Now, it is Australia’s turn to host the world’s biggest LEGO shopping destination, with the LEGO Certified Store in Pitt Street Mall, Sydney, set to eclipse the scale of the London branch.
We all love to hunt down the best LEGO deals online. However, there’s still something magical about entering a LEGO toy store, rummaging through all the latest models, and seeing all the best sets on display. It’s enough to turn most AFOLs into the excited equivalent of Kevin McCallister when he visited Duncan’s Toy Chest in Home Alone 2: Lost In New York.
The grand opening of the new Sydney LEGO store will take place on 11th November 2023, with plenty of exciting events set to take place in addition to the sprawling haul of LEGO products for purchase.
Australia’s First LEGO Minifigure Factory
Anyone making the trip to the Land Down Under will find a high-tech LEGO Minifigure Factory at the new Sydney LEGO store, where enthusiasts can create their own personalised characters. Thanks to the UV printer, customised torso designs can be printed directly onto blank minifigures – the word on the brick streets says there will also be some Australian-exclusive torso designs to get hold of.
New LEGO Store in The Heart of Sydney’s Shopping District
Pitt Street Mall is Sydney’s fashion and retail centre, with busy stores, a Westfield, and plenty of eateries. Local residents will be excited by the prospect of such a large LEGO store joining the ranks, and visitors are advised to keep an eye out for exclusives and special deals.
